This is a one-of-a-kind piano. Louis XV is a rare, very limited edition of Steinway pianos. There is only a few available on the market, and finding one with an original soundboard and case finish still nearly perfect from its time at Steinway Factory is almost impossible. The playing mechanism has been recently updated and is practically new. Original sounding board has been carefully restored. The pinblock was replaced with the same material Steinway uses today. The strings are all new and come from Steinway's supplier, Mapes.

To buy a piano like this today brand new, you would look for a model O, which is a current model of the same size (5'11 3/4"). The price of a regular Steinway & Sons model O in mahogany is over $140,000, and with Louis XV easily over $160,000.
